Community Relations
We believe that reducing wildfire risk at
a community level takes a wide variety of partners - including
county and municipal planners, realtors and developers, public
land management agencies, educators, and contractors. Fire
Ready owners share a strong commitment to family, friends,
and community.
We are leaders and participants in many outreach organizations,
including the
International Society of Arborculture, Society of American
Foresters, Better Business Bureau, FireWise
Council of Southwest Colorado, Southwest Youth Corps, Roaring
Fork Outdoor Volunteers, chambers of commerce, Durango Nature
Studies, several Land Conservancies, Homebuilders Associations,
Rotary Clubs, Habitat for Humanity, Wild Bear Discovery Center,
and the San Juan Mountains Association.
Fire Ready is involved in various educational outreach projects, including community video projects. Our crews and owners have been featured in video projects such as The First Line of Defense and After the Fire, as well as a community front range project featuring the Central Colorado Fire Ready office.
